Soccer Nation together with Sporting KC and KCP&L.....
On April 22, Soccer Nation had its first of several soccer clinics that will be organizing together with Sporting KC and KCP&L around the year.
The event started around 4:00 with a BBQ in the parking lot organized by KCP&L where they were serving hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks to all participants. After the BBQ, the kids registered for the clinic and got a shirt, soccer ball, and a backpack for free to be all ready for the practice.
The clinic began with over 80 children who are part of the “Padrino Premiere League” which is part of Sporting KC Network, and also children who are part of Soccer Nation Academy. Four new Sporting KC players were in charge of the academy teaching some basic soccer concepts while they were having fun and chatting with all the kids at the same time. Within the Sporting KC players were the Uruguayan Alex Martinez , Colombian Jimmy Medranda, and the Spanish Victor Muñoz and Antonio Dovale togheter with the first team fitness coach, Mateus Manoel.
They children practiced for about an hour and a half, and after they had the opportunity to take pictures with the players and get their autographs.
Definitely this clinic was a success and the beginning of many plans that Soccer Nation has for the future together with Sporting KC and KCP&L to continue to offer quality events to the Latino community.
This was a clear reflection of how Soccer Nation is putting all its efforts to be the link between various organizations in the area of Kansas City and the Latino community.
